Dr. Hukam Chand Sharma (Ganeshia) was born on 9 May 1954 in Moroli Daang, Bharatpur district, Rajasthan. After completing his LL.B. and D.L.L. from the University of Rajasthan, he began his practice in 1979 at the Bharatpur District Court and, in 1986, joined the Rajasthan High Court, Jaipur. Since then, he has become one of the state’s leading legal minds and is widely recognised across India as a respected constitutional expert.

A member of the Rajasthan Bar Council since 13 March 1979, he actively practises in the Supreme Court of India, Rajasthan High Court and various courts across the country. His integrity and depth of knowledge have led to close association with eminent judges, Vice-Chancellors, retired officers, spiritual leaders and international experts.

• Multiple honorary doctorates, including D.Litt. from Ajeenkya D.Y. Patil University (2018) and International Roma Cultural University (2022).
